I have been in more than my share of auto accidents in the past four years.  I was referred to my first Pilates physical therapy private in 2008 and they ended in 2009.  Body awareness and posture techniques that Theresa Scully taught me will stay with me the rest of my life.  I was fortunate enough to spend one on one time with her and learned something new and helpful with every visit. This girl knows her stuff; I’m serious when I say this.  Theresa loves what she does and it shows in her passion for being in shape, helping others patiently, listening as well as always interacting enthusiastically about life and things going on in the patient’s life. Pilates helped me learn breathing techniques, stretching exercises, posturing and toning my body, and using cardio to take charge of my waistline. It also increased my energy level throughout the day. I experienced true life relief of a sore back and a stiff neck without taking pain medication. Pilates is like anything else in life. You get out of it what you put in it, and I am living proof and would do it all over again. I  would recommend Pilates to anyone young or old, injured or not;  it really works.  Also you can help other people that you know and teach them the beneficial techniques learned from Theresa. My dad and grandmother have always had shoulder tension and headaches associated with neck pain, and they both have found relief in some of the things I taught them. Through simple massage to breathing and stretching, these techniques can be applied in real life situations. To anyone out there thinking of participating in Pilates, yoga, or needs physical therapy, Theresa Scully is the best in the business.
